I've been lucky enough to benefit from unofficial 'coaching' from Paul before he even became a coach; from perusing his meticulous training logs relating to each of his (progressively faster) marathons, friendly advice on training schedules, race plans, nutrition and even shoe choices in the lead up to target races, and most recently, and most helpfully, pacing services at this year's London Marathon.
Paul helped a club-mate and I smash our PBs at this year's London Marathon, having kindly offered to pace between 2:35 and 2:45 marathon pace as a training run (some training run!) and duly helped both of us run sub 2:40 marathons for the first times in our lives (and with even / negative splits which was a huge psychological boost vs. the rest of the field naturally slowing down in the second half). Paul kept us on track and motivated throughout the race.
There can surely be few amateur club runners who can match Paul for marathon improvement, pace and consistency, so I'm sure his invaluable experience as a runner will filter through to top notch coaching services, whether you're looking for a big improvement or just a refinement of training plans / PBs. Who knows; maybe he can help you shave 7 minutes off your marathon PB like he helped me to this year!
